Lead found in 35% of toys says the Associated Press

It’s a brief article, but it sure says a lot.  According to Jeff Karous of the Associated Press, 35% of the 1,268 toys tested by a coalition of environmental health groups contained dangerous amounts of lead. The article was in the Miami Herald today.  He goes on to mention that 23 toys were among the millions of toys recalled this year and that these toys are still on store shelves.  On the other hand, only 20% of the toys had “no trace of lead or harmful chemicals.” So, that means that 80% of the toys had traces of some lead or other harmful chemical(s).  Read the full article here.
